Can I have my own room in the hotel?
Single rooms are subject to availability and will carry a supplement. The applicable supplement will be advised to you at time of booking your Book Club Tour.

Our partners and/or friends would also like to come but they want to do something different during the day, can they?
The greater the number on a tour, the cheaper it becomes as the shared elements are split between a higher number of people. Book Club members can visit their attractions and we can make suggestions for alternative activities as required.

What if we need to cancel?
Deposits are non-refundable and cancellation conditions are set out clearly on the Booking Conditions page of the Book Club Tours website.

Why is our deposit non-refundable?
We start to incur costs from the moment your enquiry is processed – time, accommodation deposits, telephone, postage etc. Your deposit money is used to cover these initial costs.

How do we pay for the tour?
A deposit per person travelling is payable in order for us to start work on your Book Club Tour. The balance becomes due 8 weeks prior to travel. The designated Tour Leader will collect all monies due on behalf of the group and pay by direct transfer to our bank account or send one cheque to cover everybody’s share of the cost. A deposit invoice and balance invoice will be emailed (or posted) to the Tour Leader.

What paperwork do we get?
The Tour Leader will receive an information pack, prior to travel, which will include the full itinerary and vouchers to cover every service booked and paid for on your behalf. Telephone numbers to use in the event of difficulty or an emergency will also be included.

Is our money safe?
Your deposits are held in a nominated Trust account in accordance with the Package Travel Regulations. In the event that we cancel your tour, all monies would be refunded to you.

What time can we check in to the hotel?
Rooms are usually ready for check in by 1400 hrs. However if you wish to arrive earlier, we can enquire if rooms can be ready. One room (at least) is usually ready early so that luggage can be taken upstairs.

What standard of accommodation will we have?
You can indicate your budget on the enquiry form. For tours listed in the menu, all the pricing examples are based on twin/double share in centrally-located hotels of at least 3* standard (or equivalent). In places like Torquay (for example) there are plenty of guesthouses, bed and breakfasts etc. which would be suitable for smaller groups.  Or, if you want to push the boat out for a special break,  we can source somewhere luxurious for your stay.

We are paying for a coach to accompany our tour –what use of this vehicle do we have?
Coach driver hours are restricted by law and there are additional regulations regarding rest days. You will be advised if any restrictions will affect your tour. However, generally speaking, you can use your coach for excursions in addition to the agreed itinerary provided they are cleared with the coach company first to ensure they fall within legal driving hours.

Could you organise our meals, theatre tickets etc?
Certainly! We can organise any extra meals or activities for you, the cost of which will be added to your total tour price.

Can you cater for special needs?
Tours can be adapted to cater for anybody with special needs . Inform us at time of booking of your requirements and we will search for suitable accommodation, transport, meals etc.
