Welcome to Book Club Tours - Literary breaks for Book Groups
Book Club Tours offer tailor-made literary, cultural and historic tours, day trips and short breaks throughout the UK and to World War 1 and World War 2 destinations in Europe. Whether you are in a Book Club or just a group of like-minded friends looking for something just a little bit different, we can devise the perfect break for you whether you are UK based or visiting from overseas.
Either choose a literary tour from the wide range we offer and alter it to suit your group - whatever the size - or tell us where you would like to go and what you would like to do and we can then tailor a bespoke tour exactly to your requirements at a surprisingly affordable cost.
Whether your interests lie in Jane Austen novels, Thomas Hardy's Wessex, Inspector Rebus in Edinburgh or Dylan Thomas we can organise the perfect short break or day trip for your book group, club or group of friends.
UK Ground Handlers
In addition to book club tours we also act as ground handlers for overseas and UK school groups, organising cultural and literary tours throughout the UK but also to Normandy for the D Day Landings and to Arras and Ypres to study the First World War. In 2012 we expanded our horizons and arranged a tour to Poland for a UK school group to Krakow as part of their history curriculum. They visited Auschwitz-Birkenau, Schindler's factory museum and the Wieliczka salt mine - and it proved so successful that it's now an annual trip for the school. In 2013 we organised a month long UK and Ireland tour for the Australian Schools Rugby Union team and 2014 found us particularly busy with the ground arrangements for three large Australian choirs. This year we've had a group of 53 Australians visiting for the Rugby World Cup. They are in the UK for a month and we've sorted out a busy schedule of sightseeing and tours - not forgetting watching all the best rugby matches!
